Walk by faith, not by sight

A quote that I live by is "Faith makes things possible, not easy."
   This quote is close to my heart because my faith is everything to me. Just to know that with God anything is possible. Just to know that the God I serve can provide me with the strength to endure anything, is mind-blowing. I know that living by faith is not easy but it is possible.

   It all began in a Goodwill store. I love pictures and frames so I was searching for a treasure when I came upon a plaque that says: Faith makes things possible, not easy. Little did I know just how big of a treasure I found! Even though the plaques color scheme did not match my room, I sacrificed. To this day, the plaque hangs on my wall high for all to see. This plaque is not just something for me, but it is something for all to see. Whether they see my personality, or think about their own lives, this plaque gets people thinking.

   The reason this quote is so important to me is because it is my life’s motto. I don’t know how many times I have become disappointed because I could not accomplish something that was important to me. Knowing that my faith can make anything possible is very humbling. When I am in a difficult situation, I simply think that nothing is impossible with faith. Nobody said that life was easy but having hope is the only thing that matters to me; it’s all we have. Knowing that you even have a chance to achieve something bigger than yourself is very powerful. When I think about people who have accomplished great things, I know that they had hope because great things are not easy to do.

   After applying this concept to my life, I have seen more action and less doubt. Another way to explain this quote is to place God where faith is. I know that with God, all things are possible because He is God and putting your faith in Him is definitely not easy. Our minds are so incompetent compared to the mysteries of the universe. Even with this downfall, I can say that I have witnessed the things that only He can do. I think this quote is inspirational to all who believe in things bigger than themselves.

   These words were put together very specifically. They were arranged to be very clear and easy to understand by the reader. The author wanted anyone to be able to decipher its message easily. The author uses the first part of the sentence to capture your attention by stating something interesting, and then after the coma, you are brought down to earth by the fact that the interesting thing can be difficult.

   I really like that this quote is easy to understand because simplicity is a great thing when it comes to the meaning of life and how we should live. I found myself drawn to this quote not just by the words, but also by its clarity. I never find myself dwelling on things that I do not understand. I think the author did a great job to not discriminate by intellectual levels, which was very inviting.
